Technician Work
Drafting + Rendering + Model Making
Milner is an expert at utilizing drafting and rendering software such as Vectorworks, AutoCad, and the Adobe Suite and is very comfortable creating 3D models. They are familiar with software such as Rhino and Sketch-up as well and have experience creating physical models and renderings, working best with pencil, charcoal, water color and acrylic mediums.
Eos Programming
For most of their shows Milner has played the role of both Lighting Designer and Programmer and are highly skilled at programming, building effects, patching instruments and managing instrument profiles.
Programming in Watchout and Qlab
Having programmed for projection designs using both Qlab and WATCHOUT, Milner has gained proficiency programming, running, and managing industry-standard softwares.
Theatrical Electrician
With three years experience working for the USC Theatre Manager’s, Milner has significant experience hanging, circuiting, and repairing lighting instruments and accessories working in both small black box theatres and large proscenium houses. Milner has served independently as Master Electrician three shows in black box spaces as well as in unconventional performance spaces.
Scenic Carpentry
Having two years experience working as a scenic carpenter for USC and working as an assistant scenic carpenter for numerous Independent shows, Milner is knowledgable in the the construction of set pieces and are proficient with hand tools, power tools and metalworking.
Props Artistry
With their experience working under USC’s prop master, working with independent student productions and classroom settings Milner has experience creating, repairing, modifying and shopping for various props ranging from creating paper props such as passports, set dressing such as picture frames, knick knacks and drapes and hand props such as weapons, tools and fake cigarettes. They have experience with laser cutters, 3d printers and molding and casting.
